NEGOTIATION SKILLS

Negotiation is one of the key skills necessary to achieve goals. CONFLICT MANAGEMENT

Many types of conflict are a natural part of the life of individuals and organizations. They have the potential to produce desired and positive changes while posing the threat of dampening employee performance and damaging corporate culture. This training focuses on the typology and dynamics of conflicts at the workplace. It teaches participants to understand conflicts in an organization, create strategies for dealing with conflicts and manage conflicts to avoid their destructive potential.

After completing the training, participants will be able to:

  • quickly identify the signs of conflict,
  • correctly classify different types of conflict and choose the right approach to their resolution accordingly,
  • flexibly use various communication tools to find mutually acceptable solutions (win-win strategy),
  • recognize position- and interest-driven negotiation,
  • develop the strengths of their personal style of conflict resolution and realize the risks.
  •

FEEDBACK

Regular feedback on performance is key to increasing employee's productivity and their job satisfaction. The training focuses on improving understanding of the importance of feedback in performance management, especially on practical training in providing constructive feedback.

After completing the training, participants will be able to:

  • provide colleagues with constructive feedback on their performance using various models (After Action Review, Sharing vs. Labeling, Start-Stop-Continue, etc.),
  • focus on the positive aspects of own work and the work of colleagues,
  • use feedback to increase own performance and the team's performance,
  • get as much information from feedback for own growth.
  •

PERSONALITY TYPOLOGY AND INTERACTION OF DIFFERENT PERSONALITY TYPES

It helps us understand better our own reactions and needs and those of other people and respond to them accordingly. As part of the training sessions, participants will learn about personality typology developed based on professional psychology tools (Hogan job psychodiagnostics, MBTI, Belbin team role inventory) and how to use it efficiently in interactions with others.

After completing the training, participants will be able to:

  • recognize basic types of behavior at the workplace based on personality characteristics,
  • define own strengths and growths areas and those of others in the context of the typology,
    efficiently respond to risk signs.

OUR GOOD PRACTICE EXAMPLE:

Feedback skills were identified as one of the key development needs in a group of team leaders. Our task was to teach various feedback techniques to training participants. In a series of several four-hour workshops, we presented a number of feedback methods and techniques, always emphasizing the importance of proper exercise or each tool through ole paying, model situations, etc.

At the end of the development program, participants understood the importance of feedback for performance improvement and had concrete tools allowing them to provide feedback based on the specific situation and context (sharing vs. labeling, AAR - After Action Review, Start-Stop-Continue, debriefing, assessment interview, etc.). After three months, during which participants conducted assessment interviews with their junior staff, we offered a group supervision program in order to further strengthen the skills acquired in the initial training.
